CRT
Short for cathode-ray tubes, CRT monitors were the only choice consumers had for monitor technology for many years. Cathode ray tube (CRT) technology has been in use for more than 100 years, and is found in most televisions and computer monitors.

LCD
Liquid Crystal Display. A display that consists of two polarizing transparent panels and a liquid crystal surface sandwiched in between. Voltage is applied to certain areas, causing the crystal to turn dark. A light source behind the panel transmits through transparent crystals and is mostly blocked by dark crystals.

Plasma Displays
A display screen that has gas contained between two panels. When specific x-axis ( horizontal ) and y-axis ( vertical ) dots on the panels are electrically charged, the gas in that area glows.

Projector Displays
A projector is a device that integrates a light source, optics system, electronics and display(s) for the purpose of projecting an image from a computer or video device onto a wall or screen for large image viewing. These devices attached to a computer or video device as you would connect a monitor.
